River Clyde Fisheries Management Trust Ltd.

Duties of a River Manager

To ensure that the river is healthy and free from problems which might effect fish populations
To walk the river and feeder burns on a regular basis and report any major problems. Small blockages etc can be dealt with at the time of inspection
Identify areas where fish populations are low, attempt to identify the reason, then take remedial action, e.g. clear a blockage which may be preventing fish migrate upstream to spawn, or stock areas above permanent barriers such as poorly designed road culverts.
